Exotic pets!
For awhile I kept hearing about this bizarre incidents where people in my apartments find snake in their home then I found out there’s a snake breeder in my building. Sounds like a cool photo opportunity.. when I saw superintendent I asked about the breeder and got an introduction.
Michael Ranney, Carleton biology student and I guess I can call him reptile enthusiast. He had four snakes when me and Sarah when up for a photoshoot but he told us he used to have alot more. I got to hold the snake for a bit but I’m still not all that comfortable with these guys yet.
Here are my photos and check out Sarah’s as well

Moonbuggy!
Shot this for Carleton NOW
Engineering students from Carleton built this moonbuggy for their project and I hear there is also a competition between universities racing these things. Quick google search to get better idea before the shoot led me to the famous moon landing photo and photos of moonbuggy built by various universities. It really look like ‘quadcycle’.. if there is a such thing. I have total 3 different variations of the photo and essentially they all show same thing.. I just can’t decide which one I like the best. I’ll just post up two out of three..
CIS COMING UP! soon.. after I finish some essays

‘Fresh’ start to 2009
Finally first post of 2009.. big thanks to OCTranspo I’m stuck at home for the most of the time except for schooling. Since the news of Israel and Gaza/Palestine issue is a big one these days with protest all over the world I was wondering when the protest was gonna be at Ottawa and not too long ago I got facebook invite to the protest. Despite the weather condition (to put it lightly..) decided to go and check it out. I wasn’t expecting a big crowd due to the weather but I’d say good amount of people showed up.. I used to get pretty excited about protests but after few they all look similar.. fun to challenge myself to get different angle/shot though. Anyways, the protest started off with few speakers then heading down to market area. My face froze up in one expression which shows ‘holys#*t it’s cold’ , my hands were numb and I couldn’t feel my legs.. can’t wait till summer..

St.Joe’s Mission live concert quick capture + edit from James Park on Vimeo.
Decided to get off my ass and edit some footages I shot on the weekend. I shot this for Robert (Videographer) as his B-roll and shooting concert is alot of fun.. first time shooting it too. I can see why some photographers and videographers are hardcore into band photos/videos. Still getting a hang of things with video and editing.. I never liked editing but this one made me stay up all night cutting it.. It’s hella fun going into situation not knowing what you are going to get.. all the challenges and what not but once you come back with all these random footages and trying to organize.. it gets bit annoying. I think its the organizing part that i didn’t enjoy before since I have a small box full of bboy footages from last year and this year. Gotta get on that sometime soon..
Brief tech info.
shot with Panasonic DVX100B
