Richard Robinson Fashion Show 2011

First time covering Richard Robinson fashion show this past summer and wow.. full of surprises. I think I’ve seen photos of him and his grandchildren on the runway before but was fun to shoot those photos myself.. also there was a surprise marriage proposal at the end of the show, right on the runway. This is what happens when we don’t have basketball or baseball team in town.. I thought that’s where people propose.

Way long overdue post on some of the works I’ve done for local and nation-wide magazines. It’s always fun to see your works printed on that glossy paper! Only thing I’m missing here is stuffs for ‘Espirit de Corps; Canadian Military Magazine’. Didn’t get a chance to grab a copy but it’s on my ‘to-do’ list.

Plus I got an ad space on Ottawa’s new wedding magazine! ‘Wedding Dreams’

Most of my work these days comes from Carleton University. I studied here and worked as a freelance photographer while I was a student.. now that I graduated I still go back for work. Shooting alot of events for the school you can see how many different things are happening on campus on weekly basis. Different departments organizing different things it gets quite busy. On top of that Carleton’s basketball team is doing extremely well and won CIS men’s basketball championship again this year. Kind of wish I was back in school.. good times.

Kathy Smart was one amazing lady to work with and absolutely fantastic chef. I had a pleasure of working with her on her upcoming gluten free cooking book! Along the way, I met and worked with some great local talents as well as compliments on the photos from a lady who ran the famous cooking school ‘Le Cordon Bleu’ Ottawa.

I think the best part of it all was to taste the food I was shooting. Too delicious… Please make another book…
