Freedom Fight (MMA)

With the rise of popularity in MMA and ‘UFC’, Freedom fight definitely drew alot of attention. I like ‘UFC’ but enjoyed watching ‘Pride’ (R.I.P.) little bit more. Anyways, I shot local boxing match week before this event so I felt I can do little bit better than last time since I got well acquainted with smelly square ring they use.. (real neck breaking at some points) plus these guys are not boxers so expect alot of ground submission moves rather than fast punches.

In the end it was real fun event to shoot and learn from.. just have to watch out for fighters getting rough around where I was sitting and one guy almost kicked my lens.. then in another match, one guy got all bloody and got puched in the face again.. splattering blood all over the media section. None of my gears or myself got any blood on but Steve Gerecke got a blood on his brand new shirt!!

 

ps: it was also great chance to test out D300’s focus tracking.. I’m pretty damn satisfied with the result.
